Well known guitar retailer Gibson and toy retailer Hasbro have teamed up to create the next big thing in Guitar Technology. This is the Power Tour Guitar and its going to be the next big thing when it comes to interactive Guitar toys.

Forget about Guitar Hero, this is the premier interactive guitar playing thing.

OK forget all the hype and bullshit, this is never going to overtake Guitar Hero and probably wont even strike a chord with me. And Im a sucker for hype. This is aimed squarely at those who give up when they first start to learn guitar because of the learning curve. That sounds great, but all the Power Tour Guitar has is twelve pre-loaded songs. Once you have exhausted that repertoire what next? Do you move onto a real guitar?

No. You can’t because your used to learning things the easy way, without strings. Looks like a great toy and no doubt something I will have a turn of but not the best way to introduce your child to music perhaps.
