Hazy Summer Days
Typed 26th June, 2007 at 9:58 pmIt seems to be that time of year again, summertime. Ample time to reflect upon the school year and to look forward to the next year at college. Ample time however seems to give way to boredom and excess sitting, yes I’ve been doing plenty of that. Its my first full week off since I completed my exams and since I have very little money the only thing I have to look forward to is the prom, which is this Friday. The short and long of it is; I am very bored.
So to combat this I am deciding to take up a few hobbies to try and make the most of my summer, and since I am single this summer I have no focus and no-one to consume my time pointlessly. Now the first hobby is to think of as many hobbies that are possible for me to take up. I am not sporty, but I want to better myself and have fun. Also I can’t drink.
My Plan of Action
I have created a list of goals for myself to achieve each day, I am going to write my goals on a little yellow post-it the night before and complete as many as possible the next day. I am going to do this the whole summer, or so he says…
The list will include a few activities which are regular and one has to be a different experience everyday, I have no idea what it will be and it will be trouble trying to think of but I’ll try. I’ve got the regulars, starting with updating my blog every day and practicing guitar, every other day I will exercise to keep fit and the rest I haven’t thought of yet.
On another note, slightly related, my parents are pestering me to get a job so if I manage that could keep me busy over the summer and give me a few spare rupees. Over and out. ![]()

Good Luck with your summer. Getting a job would be a huge timekiller for the months ahead.
The only trouble is it wont be a fun time-killer, only a boring repetitive one. But you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.

Jonny Says:You should take up skateboarding again, you were pretty good at it =]
Thats what I was thinking, its a shame I just don’t have a skateboard anymore and no-one to go skating with. If I could afford one I would. So far I have taken up a hobby writing songs, because that costs very little, is fun and rewarding and I can do it no matter where I am.
