My new MacBook Experience
Typed 29th August, 2007 at 12:13 pmI have been on quite the roller coaster ride when it comes to this MacBook resting on the desk in-front of me. I encountered a rare error in which the computer randomly decides to shut itself down, so I took it back to John Lewis and had no trouble changing it for another one, in fact they didn’t even look in the box.
I now have a brand new, fully updated MacBook with plenty to rave about. Its super fast and syncs perfectly with my computer downstairs. I am yet to sync the applications from downstairs onto the MacBook so I don’t have to buy more licenses for all the shareware I have purchased. I really just want my newsreader NewsFire, and Text Mate for when I am working on the new Lawsy.net layout.
The thing I don’t like about the MacBook is the keyboard, it feels a little funny and I don’t think I can type anywhere near to optimum speed like I can on the external keyboard on the iMac. I might look into buying a full size keyboard for home use when I must type up a paper for college.
Another thing is the in built speakers, but what can you expect from a laptop. Tinny and poor projection me thinks. I currently have the MacBook hooked up to my stereo pumping my iTunes music from downstairs into my bedroom via AirTunes.
Overall I love the machine, as I love all Mac computers when they don’t have any problems or glitches. The Mac OS is simply superb and streaks ahead of anything the competition has to offer, both in terms of looks and usability.
