My Smashed MacBook

My MacBook has been at Apple for a little while now, just over three weeks, they are trying to fix a small fault that causes the MacBook to be a little less than user friendly. It simply doesn’t turn on! Not even with the power cord attached, troubleshooting on my part was fairly limited as I couldn’t begin to see what had gone wrong.
Then I remembered, a friend of a friend was round my house and he decided to spill a little bit of Stella Artios on my lovely Apple Laptop. I wasn’t too bothered at the time, as it seemed to be still working perfectly. Now its a different story however, with my laptop being out of commission for over a month now I feel as if I should be punching this guy in the face. Being far from violent, as I am, I have chosen just to leave it alone and hope that those magic Apple Engineers can fix the problem.
If they fail then John Lewis offered me my money back as I have had problems with the MacBook before this and I think I would be better off with a similarly specced desktop PC and just maybe that little ASUS EeePC. I don’t have any courses at college that require me to have my laptop, or even use a computer. So I would be better with just a desktop computer set up in my room to play a few games on, use MSN and listen to music and of course get back to updating my blog.

I hope you backed up your data! The MacBook has a removeable hard drive, and you can get a £15 HDD to USB connection off ebay.
I have a similar problem with my G3 iBook, gets to the Apple logo and then decides to stay there. Still, its nearly 6 years old and well past a point where it would be worth trying to salvage.
Well I’ve got most of my data on an external western digital HDD, so I wasn’t too bothered about data. Its just the fact that I can’t use my laptop in bed anymore :p
