Pete Doherty and a Solo Album

Doherty Narrowweb 300X414,0Pete Doherty has gone ahead and announced his plans to release a solo album of just him and a guitar, the songs are to include a version of “For Lovers” that Wolfman wrote, “Cuckoo” and “Darksome Sea” another Wolfman number. I have a few of the rare songs that have been leaked onto the internet by Pete, so I assume the solo album will be a better produced version of these recordings. I know I’ll buy it since I’m a big fan of Pete’s music, and his lyrical style.

Thats a nice little change, he seems to be getting himself organised enough to be living comfortably and not so much with all the drugs which like every fan I know will destroy him shortly. It is hard to fail to notice his abuse of drugs and pretty soon he may go and take his own life, be it an accidental overdose or an actual suicide. I hope he has a long and prosperous life however and i would like to be going to see him in twenty years time with all the other “older-audience” bands at the City Hall in Newcastle. That would be nice.
