RAF worker gets £484k payoff

Typed 29th July, 2007 at 8:58 pm

An RAF worker who attained an RSI (repetitive strain Injury)- style wrist injury received a whopping £484k compensation. To put that into perspective if a Soldier in Iraq got his leg blown off he would receive roughly 9 times less compensation than this. Now I realise why I want to join the RAF. With a compensation scheme this good you would be daft to miss out on a job in the RAF.

Imagine I am a pilot and I get injured whist ejecting because of faulty equipment, I could be set for life. The govenment must be in the wrong here somehow.

You could be set for life…or you could be dead.
