The full feed, just in the less popular ATOM format.

If you don’t know those complex acronyms then you should continue reading and if you pay attention you may even learn something. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and this technology enables you to read all the latest news from my blog and many other internet sites without ever opening you internet browser. This can be achieved by using a Feed reader, a feed is the new name for RSS to avoid confusion with acronyms, you can load up many feeds into a feed reader and scroll through new posts just like you would with email. Using this method of obtaining your news is much faster and more efficient, you can catch up on the news much faster than usual and who doesn’t want that in this impatiant day and age.

ATOM is another method of Syndication and is supported by most feed readers, however not by them all, you can use this just as you would use RSS.

Now you have got this far you will want a feed reader, if you have money, I recommend FeedDemon for Windows users. However if you like to support the open source there are a host of other options available, you can use Sharp Reader or RSS Owl.

If you are on a Mac try NewsFire for a small fee of $18.99. MacFreeware alternatives include Vienna and Blogbridge.

You can also use one of a few Firefox extensions, one I have tried is Sage but I must say I prefer using a seperate feed reader. You can also use online feed readers such as Bloglines this will mean you can view your subscriptions from any computer in the world connected to the internet.

Increase your productivity and use a feed reader today, it can save you valuable time for other things like customising your MySpace!
